Passenger
boats will depart from the Union Canal towpath at the times
shown below. The embarkation point is reached from the south
(Glasgow bound) platform. Walk to the western end of the Glasgow
bound platform, away from the tunnel, and follow the footpath,
forking left up the short incline to the canal towpath.
There are varying sizes
of boats
providing this service, some with very small
capacity,
so advance
booking
is strongly recommended, phone 01324-619888.

The return fare is £3 for adults plus £3 entry
to the show. The return fare for children is £2.50,
and they get free entry to the show if accompanied by an adult.
We regret that the boats are not accessible to wheelchair
users, or people who are unable to negotiate narrow steps.
The trip to the top lock above the wheel takes about 40
minutes by boat. You will then have about 200 yards to walk,
past 2 locks, through a floodlit tunnel and down beside the
wheel, to the show.
Passengers will be able to reserve a place on a particular
boat returning to the station later in the day.
